FCC Requires ISPs to Disclose How User Data are Collected and Used

The Federal Communications Commission recently reported that it is informing Internet service providers of its proposed directive regarding the regulation of data being sent by ISPs to third party companies like marketers. This is part of the FCC's effort to safeguard customer information and to make sure that their privacy is not being violated by their respective ISPs.
Verizon Abandons Internet "Throttle" Plan

In an announcement made on Wednesday, Verizon declared that it will be abandoning its proposal to "throttle" the internet connection during peak hours. If it had not been cancelled, this scheme would have purportedly affected its clients who availed of the company's unlimited data plans.
