It's Aug. 20, 2014 and new economic data from various sources indicates income inequality in China is greater even than in the U.S. and growing rapidly. Economists point to a large urban-rural disparity and regional differences to be a primary factor in China while family differences and racial-ethnic makeup are primary factors in the U.S.
