World AIDS Day: China Pledges to Increase Efforts to Combat HIV/AIDS

The Chinese government is looking to up its game in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The governing body of the second world power seeks to create new prevention mechanism as well as invest further in research and possibly find a cure for the virus during according to a report released on the World AIDS day held on Wednesday.

As we mark World AIDS Day, UNICEF has stated in a press release that Asian teenagers are among the most susceptible to the sexually transmitted disease. The statement follows a study published by the Asia-Pacific Inter-Agency Task Team on Young Key Populations, which also includes UNICEF, UNAIDS and others.
575,000 Chinese Have AIDS Including Young Male Elites

Around 575,000 people in China have been infected with AIDS as of October this year, and health experts are raising alarm over the unprecedented rise of new HIV cases among young men, mostly high school and college students.
