There are rumors that Xiaomi's upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone would be called the Xiaomi Mi Pro. This rumor started on the popular Chinese micro-blogging social networking Weibo after a new Xiaomi account was created on the website.
The unofficial Xiaomi Weibo page posted an upcoming device dubbed as the "Xiaomi Mi Pro." This post has led to speculations that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be renamed Xiaomi Pro. This is possible since the company has a "Pro" flagship in the Redmi series, namely the Xiaomi Redmi Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 or Mi Pro would feature a massive 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display screen. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor. The smartphone could run on the latest Android 7.0 operating system out of the box, along with gigantic 6 GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a huge 64GB of in-built storage.
There are rumors that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 would support 3D Touch. Xiaomi's latest device will feature 13-megapixels dual-rear camera and an 8-megapixels front facing shooter.
The basis for this rumor is a newly setup Weibo page by the name of Xiaomi Pro. This information has not been confirmed by Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone is expected to be unveiled in China on Sept. 14.
