(Photo : Getty Images) Guangzhou Evergrande will square off with Liaoning Whowin at the Tianhe Stadium on Sunday in a 2016 Chinese Super League season match.
Defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC (16-3-5, 53 points) will look to finish the 2016 Chinese Super League season strong as they face lowly club Liaoning Whowin FC (7-9-8, 29 points) at the Tianhe Stadium on Sunday, Sep. 18.

Guangzhou looks headed to its sixth straight Chinese Super League title as the team is still at the top spot of the current China top flight table, with 53 points and a goal difference of +31, with only six games remaining in the season.
Second-running squad Jiangsu Suning is six points behind the Southern China Tigers with 47 points and a goal difference of +19.
Head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's side snapped their three-game winless slide last Saturday with a 3-0 smashing of reeling contenders Hebei China Fortune on the road at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium, as per Xinhuanet.
Local midfielder Huang Bowen scored the opening goal for Guangzhou at the 19th minute while Brazilian winger Alan Carvalho double their lead in the first half stoppage time as the team entered the halftime break up by two points.
Another Brazilian, midfielder Ricardo Goulart sealed the win at the 52nd off an assist from Gao Lin.
Meanwhile, Liaoning Whowin suffered its second loss in the last three rounds as they were defeated by Beijing Guoan, 0-2, at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Wednesday, via Sofa Score.
Beijing's Turkish forward Burak Yilmaz scored the two goals for the visitors at the 77th and 89th minutes after a goalless first 45 minutes of play.
Liaoning is currently at the 11th place in the overall standings, nine points above the bottom two relegation zone.
