Xiaomi Mi Band 2, Mi Air Purifier 2 To Hit India Soon

Xiaomi is expanding its reach into one of the most promising market in Asia, India. In a recently held press event in New Delhi, the Chinese tech giant announced that it is launching the Mi Band 2 and the Mi Air Purifier 2 in the country.
According to Giz China, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 smart wearable device is expected to cost $30 in India and it can be ordered directly from Xiaomi's own online platform at Mi.com starting Sept. 27.

The fitness band has a 0.42-inch OLED-display and boasts of a wide collection of sensors, including pulse sensor, steps counter, distance sensor and a sensor that can count calories burned. It is made of plastic and aluminum and has an IP67 certification. The Mi Band 2 has a 70mAh battery pack which Xiaomi claims has a standby time of up to 20 days.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2, on the other hand, is the successor to the company's flagship series of smart appliances. The device is expected to cost around $270 and will go on sale starting Sept. 26.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 stands 520mm tall and measures 240mm wide. It has a Wi-Fi module that enable users to remotely control it through their smartphones. It is also equipped with sensors for air quality and temperature and humidity.
Both the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 and the Mi Air Purifier 2 have been available in the Chinese market for quite some time already. This is the first time that the two devices are being released in a market outside of their country of origin.
