Shortly after the launch of UMI Plus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has hinted that the company is already working on the successor of its newest flagship smartphone. UMI did not fail its promise, and with the latest reveal of the UMI Plus Extreme, the game of becoming the best in the business becomes more interesting.

Perhaps the biggest selling point of the UMI Plus Extreme is the chipset that powers it. The MediaTek Helio P20 is an impressive piece of hardware which clocks at 2.3GHz along with 6GB of memory to back up its compute performance. The Plus Extreme model is also expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system, according to Phone Arena.

It was further dished that the UMI Plus Extreme does not differ much from its predecessor in terms of certain specs. It will retain the 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution. It will also retain the 13-megapixel rear facing shooter. It will also support dual SIM configuration and will pack a massive 4000mAh battery.

Not much is known regarding the price of the UMI Plus Extreme. However, based on the current price of the UMI Plus model which is around $250, tech analysts are expecting that the UMI Plus Extreme, considering its specs, will be offered for $300.
