Apple confirmed the worldwide rollout of the new iOS 8 will start on Sept. 17, allowing jailbreakers to finalize the upcoming iPhone and iPad untethered jailbreak and announce a release date in the near future.

People ask if the iOS 8 is jailbreakable or not, however.

Before the iOS 7.1.2 release, analysts said a jailbreak could take a long time or it may not even be released at all because Apple shut out future attempts to tinker with its mobile OS.

The prediction was partly correct but iPhoneHacks.com pointed out there is a reverse engineering for the Pangu jailbreak tool, which is said to work perfectly with the iOS 8 beta build.

Reddit user w0rldello said he had patched the Pangu binary to add the capability to jailbreak iOS 8 and proved it through screenshots. There's still no assurance this is possible, however.

It's predicted the iOS unlocking tool with be out in late December at the earliest. The Evad3rs released the Evasi0n7 iOS 7 jailbreak in Dec. 22, 2013.

So far, there's no proof that @MuscleNerd, @pod2g, @planetbeing and @pimskeks are working on the Evasi0n version.

The team has been quiet since Apple patched the iOS 7 exploits with build 7.1.2 last May.

The iOS 7 jailbreak came from China from the PanguTeam who built the iOS 7 Pangu liberator. The following jailbreak could be named the Evasion7 or iOS 8 Pangu.

The two teams could race to provide the iOS 8 jailbreak but in the same way, jailbreak fans will be delighted to have the iOS 8 jailbreak as a Christmas gift this December.
