Honda Unveils New Civic Type R at Paris Motor Show

(Photo : YouTube) Honda is set to finally pull the wraps off its highly anticipated car at the Special Equipment Market Association show within the next couple of days.
Honda recently unveiled the newest Honda Civic Type R at the Paris Motor Show. The Japanese car manufacturer said the newly-introduced vehicle is not a prototype, but rather a preview of the upcoming model.
It was learned that the company is already commencing production to ensure the car's availability in the United States by next year. Essentially, this is the first Honda Type R car model to arrive in the US.

The upcoming car variant is based on the company's new Civic Hatchback platform, which is expected to hit US showrooms within the coming days.
The new Civic Type R is equipped with a handful of aerodynamic hardware as well as slew of new design concepts, according to Time.
While not much is known yet about its specs, rumors have claimed that the Civic Type R will sport a turbo 2.0-liter engine that can pump as much as 340 horsepower, according to Jalopnik. The car is slated to be built in Honda's plant based in Swindon, United Kingdom.
On the rear end of the car is a futuristic-looking paraglider which appears to be mounted just about a trio of exhaust pipes and an agro rear fascia.
The new Civic Type R i santicipated to sport 20-inch black-and-red wheels just beneath a new fender flare design. Up front, the ubiquitous red Honda badge, which is reserved for the company's R models, is situated between the slotted hood and a new front fascia design with its new splitters made from carbon fiber. The car also has a new red-colored waterline that runs around it.
