AMD is planning to open up a new partnership with HP and Lenovo, which means that it will not take long for the computer brands to sport the new Bristol Ridge APUs to hit the market.

AMD uses the Pro branding to mark performance and reliability upgrades, which the company claimed have faster clock speeds and upgraded graphics performance.

The seminconductor manufacturer shared that compared to the previous generations of PRO processors, these new models have up to 14 percent of compute power improvements and up to 22 percent boost on graphics. The new Bristol Ridge processors are 32 percent more power-efficient as well compared to its predecessors.

The new processors are equipped with AMD Secure Processor Tech that includes a secure boot feature and TPM 2.0, along with a handful of security measures to guard data and other applications.

According to Tech Radar, the entry level model of the new AMD Bristol Ridge processors is the A6-9500E, a dual-core processor clocked at 3GHz with an integrated Radeon R5 graphics, and a mere 35W power requirement.

Meanwhile, the high-end model of the bunch is the AMD Pro A12-9800. It is a quad-core processor with a base clock speed of 3.8GHz and boost clock of 4.2GHz. It also has a Radeon R5 integrated graphics clocked at 1108MHz and has a thermal design power of 65W.
