There are rumors that the Cleveland Cavaliers' forward Kevin Love would leave the team soon. Word has it that Love is being prepped for transfer to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for guard Victor Oladipo.

It sounds quite strange for Love to leave the Cavs, especially after winning the highly-coveted first championship title for the team. However, with Golden State Warriors' acquisition of Kevin Durant, the Thunders are in serious drive to look a replacement for him, and they have found this in Love.

There are also a few interesting points to take from this rumored trade possibility. Right now, the Cavs are still wooing shooting guard J.R. Smith to re-sign a contract. From the looks of it, the Cavs are waiting for Smith's decision before going forward with the rumored deal with the Thunders.

According to the Inquisitr, should Smith decide to remain with the Cavs, the Love-Oladipo deal will most likely go down the drain. However, in case Smith decides to leave, the Cavs' will have to pursue Oladipo.

Should the Cavs pursue the deal with the Thunders, it is highly likely that Channing Frye will step up to fill Love's position. While Frye has had an interesting career over the past few years, it is safe to say that he is not in the same class as Love in terms of productivity and skill. Nevertheless, this deal hangs in the balance and will be decided once Smith has finally made his decision.
