Goldberg is rumored to be finalizing a deal with the WWE management for his return. There are speculations that Goldberg is being prepped for an explosive match against Brock Lesnar.

Talks of Goldberg's return to the WWE has been floating around the wrestling community for quite some time. However, it received a newfound attention when WWE legend and Hall of Famer Jim Ross tweeted on Tuesday that sources within the WWE have told him that Goldberg is indeed returning to the WWE, according to Fox Sports.

One of Ross' tweets reads, "Another source says that @Goldberg vs. @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe."

If the rumors are true, Goldberg will be gracing the WWE wrestling pit after a 12-year hiatus. Putting the 49-year-old superstar in the lineup for Survivor Series also shows how much hype Goldberg can bring to the WWE.

After Lesnar's win over Randy Orton at SummerSlam in August, fans at the Barclay Center chated Goldberg's name in anticipation that the superstar will make his much-anticipated return.

Goldberg's final match in the WWE was at WrestleMania XX in 2004 where he faced Lesnar, and with Stone Cold Steve Austin as a special referee. It was an exit match for both Lesnar and Goldberg. Lesnar was trying to launch his career in the NFL, while Goldberg has signed up to leave WWE. The match was a disaster as fans, who knew that it was the last time the two superstars would meet in the ring, booed them for the whole duration of the fight.
