Sing! China first-runner up Nathan Hartono brushed off conspiracy rumors behind the finale event last Friday, adding that Chinese singer Jiang Dunhao earned the title.
Netizens speculated how 81 invited judges became 92 at the finals of Sing! China. It can be recalled that Hartono got 45 votes, while Jiang had 47, bringing the total to 92, Today Online reported.

"I don't know what was going on. I was doing the math on stage as well. That is why I was having a bit of a laugh on stage," Hartono told Today. "People suspect it was some kind of weird trickery... I don't think so. I think someone just messed up on the computers."
Hartono also admitted that Jiang's edge over him was his capability to communicate well in music, particularly in Chinese. But when talking about the voting, he as well could not explain what happened but is, nevertheless, grateful for the opportunity.
"I think someone screwed up and probably someone got fired. But at the end of the day, whoever wins the show is the person that the Chinese audience wants to see and I am completely okay with that. I was just happy to be there that night."
It was not a total loss for Hartono at all, saying he was thankful to the judges who voted for him. It sends a positive sign that the Chinese music industry is willing to accept his brand of music, according to the Malay Mail.
"It was very affirming to me as a musician, as a performer, to get that respect... I don't want this competition to define me for the rest of my carrier."
When asked what he is his future plans, the Singaporean crooner is determined to create more music and stage a concert "sooner than later." He also revealed his plans to working on some Chinese music.
