Razer has unveiled a refreshed version of the 17-inch Razer Blade Pro. Razer claims that the gaming laptop is designed for enthusiasts who want the sheer performance and the power of a desktop computer without the need to sacrifice portability.

The most impressive  specification of the new Razer Blade Pro is the Nvidia GTX 1080. How Razer was able to squeeze a high-end gaming hardware into a laptop that is under an inch thick is still a mystery to some. While the Razer Blade Pro does look awesome on paper, the laptop carries a hefty price tag of $3,699 for the most basic configuration.

In a statement acquired by CNet, Razer product manager Kevin Sather said, "It's definitely not for everybody. It's for people who need to get the most out of a PC."

The Razer Blade Pro has a 17.3-inch touchscreen display with 3840 x 2160 resolution and G-Sync support. It has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB of GDDR5X VRAM. The laptop is powered by a sixth-generation quad-core Intel i7 processor. It comes with a mechanical keyboard.

The laptop has 32GB of RAM and three variants of storage space: 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB. It features an aluminum chassis which adds durability to the laptop, as well as a premium finish. All these specs are squeezed into a thin device measuring 16.7inch x 0.9 inch x 11 inches and weighing under eight pounds.

The Razer Blade Pro has a 99Wh battery pack, which happens to be the largest battery that can be legally carried on a plane. The laptop has a USB Type-C port and supports Thunderbolt 3. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio port, and three standard USB ports.
