The 33-year-old Englishman, who was the ruling World Championships winner, dominated the match and registered the most one-sided ranking event final since the 2012 Haikou World Open when Stephen Lee bowed out to a 10-1 loss to Mark Allen.

"Ding is a fantastic player but he didn't really play his game today," said Selby, who made breaks of 87, 83, 67, 66, 50, 62 and 78 during the match.

"That was down to me playing some good match snooker and not giving him many chances," the two-time world champion continued. "I didn't miss anything easy and I was happy with the way stayed focused and I closed the match out. I'm really happy to get another ranking title under my belt."

Based on the report from BBC, Selby won eight of the first nine frames of their race to 10 finals showdown. The world No.6 Ding managed a top break of just 47.

The professional English cueist sealed the victory with a 78 break in the 11th frame.

According to the official website of the World Snooker, Selby pocketed the tournament's top prize of £125,000 (US$152,000), while Ding, who was the tournament's champion in 2013, received £65,000 (US$79,000) for finishing as the tourney's runner-up.

With the victory, Selby claimed the 9th ranking title of his career and bolstered his hold to the world No. 1 spot, which he has held for 20 straight months.

Following his successful International Championship campaign, the native of Leicester will be heading immediately to Guangzhou to compete for the upcoming Evergrande China Championship that will run from Nov. 1 to 5.
