Swiss clockmaker Tag Heuer recently unveiled its newest creation, a smartwatch called Connected.
Although the smartwatch market is currently flooded by many models from different manufacturers, what makes the Connected smartwatch stand out is not its features or design, but its massive price tag of $10,000.

The Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch sports a dual-core processor from Intel, clocked at 1.6GHz.
It has 1GB of memory and 4GB of flash storage. Weighing under three ounces, its circular face has a 1.8-inch diameter and has an 18-karat solid rose cold case. It also boasts of a sandblasted titanium bezel and a scratch-resistant LCD panel made from sapphire crystal.
According to PC Mag, Tag Heuer claims that the Connected smartwatch has a 410mAh battery which can last for at least 25 hours on a single charge.
Once the battery is empty, it will only take less than two hours to fully charge the battery from zero. It has a microUSB port which doubles as a charger and also a port to transfer files. The
Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch has an IP67 certification, which means that it is practically water-resistant to shallow waters for upto 30 minutes.
It can be noted that this is not the first premium-grade smartwatch that Tag Heuer released.
Last year, the company released a luxury smartwatch with a $1,500 price tag.
Some market analysts agree that Tag Heuer might have noticed the utter lack of competition in the luxury smartwatch market which, so far, is solely occupied by the Apple Watch Edition which was also discontinued in September.
