Alienware confirmed that the Alienware 13 will sport an Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, OLED display options, and an Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card.

The company said consumers who prefer AMD graphics cards can also choose to equip their device with options from the red team.

One of the most interesting specs of the Alienware 13 is its display panel.

The company said it should be able to handle resolutions of upto 2560 x 1440. Moreover, it also boasts of an OLED panel and touchscreen capabilities.

Alienware's proprietary Dynamic Overclocking tool is also pre-installed on the system, according to Tom's Hardware.

The VR ready Alienware 13 supports up to 2TB of SSD storage options, 1TB of which is for boot, the other 1TB is for storage. Although Alienware offers dual-drive options, RAID configuration appears to be unavailable.

The device also has a Killer E2400 Gigabit LAN with a Killer Wireless AC1435 module. An upgrade option for a Killer Wireless AC 1535 is also available.

With all these impressive set of specs and opions, it is no wonder that the new Alienware 13 was tagged as "VR Ready."

The notebook will no doubt appeal to hardcore gamers and VR enthusiasts who want to have a mobile system that they can easily transport.

The Alienware 13 is now available for purchase via Dell's online store for $1,199 for the model with a standard display, and $2,099 for the one with an OLED panel.
