Mobile password manager LastPass has announced that its service will now support multiple devices. LastPass added that along with support for more than one device, the service would also remain free to use.
LastPass will not ditch its premium service, especially since a significant portion of its user base remains subscribed to it. However, LastPass confirmed that support for multiple devices would be moved to the free version of the app, according to Android Headlines.

While LastPass is an excellent app even in its free version, the password manager still offers a lot more nifty tools and services for premium users. Among the features that only premium users can avail are the ability to share passwords with friends and family, improved security through two-factor authentication method, and fingerprint support for the desktop version of the app.
LastPass is moving the multiple-device support to the free service to attract more users to use the app. This latest move is seen a major selling point for LastPass since most apps that offer the same service in the market do not support multiple devices, or if they do support it, it is only for premium users.
LastPass said that premium users, who subscribed to the service for the sole reason of being able to take advantage of the multiple-devices feature, can simply discontinue their subscription since that feature is now available for non-paying users. LastPass added that users who have renewed their subscription within the last 30 days could have their fee refunded if they cancel now.
