As part of the company's effort to drive sales, Apple's flagship smartwatch, the Apple Watch, will soon be available in Kohl's department stores. The Apple Watch will be available in at least 400 Kohl stores starting Nov. 15.

While some department stores, like Macy's, have an in-store Apple boutique, Kohl said it is not launching the Apple Watch as an electronics partner. Instead, Kohl will be selling the smartwatch on its wellness and activewear sections.

Khol's recent announcement is reportedly "part of the company's strategy" to make itself known as a retailer that focuses on activewear, especially for female consumers.

Earlier this year, Kohl started adding Under Armour apparel on the company's accessories and footwear sections.

Kohl said Apple Watches will be placed on four-foot tall displays inside their department stores. Kohl will display four different models of the Apple Watch.

The company confirmed that 10 different kinds of Apple Watches will be on stock, and it will also provide staff for its new Apple Watch section, according to Tech Crunch.

Many market analysts agree that the new tie-up between Apple and Kohl will attract more customers and drive sales, especially now that the holiday season is fast approaching.

For Apple, tapping Kohl will give the company a broader consumer reach, including discount shoppers.

Apple has already tapped several other retailers, including  Target, Macy's, Walmart and Dicks' Sporting Goods to sell its smartwatch brand. Meanwhile, Macy's, which confirmed its plan to sell Apple Watches just a couple of weeks ago, will only sell the smartwatch in 180 of its stores.
