Chinese tech giant Huawei recently launched its newest fitness tracker called Huawei Fit. The device is designed as a watch packed with sensors and fitness-oriented features.
The Huawei Fit has sensors that can count the user's steps, track sleep, and heart rate. The sensors work continuously even during workouts. The Fit features an always-on touchscreen display with monochrome colors.

A quick glance at the Huawei Fit and it looks hauntingly similar to the Pebble Time Round which was released last year. In fact, the two devices look so similar that when placed on the side of each other, only a trained eye can spot the difference.
As for the Fit's tracking features, the device can automatically sense whether the user is walking, running, or sleeping. The device is capable of counting distance, number of steps, duration of sleep, and calories burned. The Huawei Fit does not have a built-in GPS sensor. However, the device can sync with Huawei's Wear app which is available to both Android and iOS platforms, according to The Verge.
Several fitness trackers were on the hotspot recently for not being able to accurately monitor user heart rate. As for the Fit, Huawei claims that the device's heart rate sensor is accurate due to its "high signal strength." Huawei added that users have the choice of manually measuring their heart rate, or rely on the Fit's sensors to automatically measure it.
Aside from fitness-focused features, the Huawei Fit also gives out alerts and notifications for calls and messages. Huawei claims that the Fit's battery pack is powerful enough to power the device for up to six days on normal use, and up to 30 days when in standby. Charging the battery from zero to 100 percent only takes about two hours.
The Huawei Fit is available in silver or gray finish. As for the device's straps, it is available in three color options: blue, orange, and black. The Huawei Fit costs $129.99 and is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg.
