Chinese Basketball Association: Xinjiang Flying Tigers Beat Zhejiang Golden Bulls to Remain on Top

The Xinjiang Flying Tigers continue to hold on the top of the league's team standings after beating Zhejiang Golden Bulls with a dominant 109-87 triumph in the fourth round of the ongoing 2016-2017 regular season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

According to EuroBasket, foreign basketball reinforcement Darius Adams poured in game-high 32 points to lead the Flying Tigers to their fourth straight victory. The 27-year-old American-Bulgarian point guard also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out eight assists while connecting eight of his 17 attempts from the three-point area.

Naturalized Filipino player Andray Blatche also had a spectacular game, finishing the match with another double-double game production of 24 points and 12 rebounds to go along with three assists and three steals in 26 minutes of playing time for Xinjiang.

Zhou Qi also had a double-double game performance of 21 markers and 10 boards while Abudushalamu Abudurexiti contributed with 13 points for the winners, who will be playing Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey Kings on the fifth round of the regular season.

American import Willie Warren paced Zhejiang with 25 points while domestic player Dayu Zhang had 16.

The Flying Tigers dominated the boards, outrebounding the losing side 54-35. The winning team also had more steals than the Golden Bulls 13-6 but with lesser turnovers of 12-17.

Basing from the game result of the NowGoal, the Flying Tigers struggled in the opening period after surrendering the first 12 minutes of the game 28-35. However, Xinjiang managed to regroup in the following quarter and capped the first half leading by seven points 58-51 after staging a 30-16 run in the second period of the game.

They continued to pound the opposing team with another 24-14 third quarter outburst to further stretch their lead to 17 points going into the final period. Xinjiang maintained their good offensive game in the fourth frame and held Zhejiang to just 22 points while they managed to produce 27 markers to seal the win.
