BMW recently unveiled a mysterious HP4 Race motorbike that sports a full featherweight carbon fiber frames and wheels. The HP4 Race ushers BMW's entry into the carbon fiber frame technology, and once it rolls out on the road, it will become the second motorbike to sport such design, second only to the Ducati Superleggera.

BMW claims that the HP4 Race is based on the equally stunning S1000RR platform, according to Cycle World. While the auto manufacturer promises a lot of breakthrough technology and design cues on the HP4 Race, the company made sure that everything is a tightly sealed secret.

In a statement acquired by New Atlas, BMW Motorrad president Stephan Schaller said, "The HP4 Race will feature the full carbon fibre main frame and carbon fibre rims as shown here. We will reveal more about this model next spring."

So far, BMW has confirmed that the HP4 Race will sport carbon fiber frame and wheels. The company added that all the bike's body panels are constructed through a lightweight weave, which gives the bike a race-ready façade unattainable when using other materials.

Unlike the 1299 Superleggera from Ducati, which sports a full carbon swingarm, BMW decided to use aluminum. The HP4 Race's engine specs are still unknown, along with the bike's power figures and final official weight.

Because of the bike's premium build, speculations around the motoring world claim that the bike will be available in limited numbers only and might hit the market by the second half of next year. It is also widely believed that the BMW HP4 Race will be hand-built.
