DeMar DeRozan Registers His Sixth 30-Point Game in a Victory Against Oklahoma City Thunder

All-Star player DeMar DeRozan continued his spectacular scoring game to lead Toronto Raptors to its fifth win of the season after the visiting Canadian-based NBA ballclub defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday at the Chesapeake Energy Arena with a 112-102 victory.
According to Yahoo Sports, DeRozan scored 37 points to go along with six assists, four rebounds, and three steals in their games against Thunder. The Raptors's superstar, who signed a five-year $139 million deal to stay with the team last July of this year, went 13 for 22 from the field and made 11 of 15 from the foul line.

It was the 27-year-old shooting guard's sixth 30-point game in seven matches played this season, putting him in stellar company alongside two of the basketball Hall of Famers Bernard King and Michael Jordan.
With the victory, the Dwane Casey-headed team improves to a 5-2 win-loss record. The Raptors has currently won its last two games on road and places fourth in the latest Eastern Conference team standings.
Presently, DeRozan is the NBA's leading scorer with an impressive average of 34.1 points per contest, according to the official website of the NBA. He has outperformed Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who ranks second with 31.1 points per game, and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, who ranks third with an average of 30.9 markers per match.
DeRozan is the 2009 NBA Draft 9th overall pick. He is listed 6-foot-7-inches tall (2.01 meters) and weighs 220 pounds (100 kilograms).
The native of Compton, California, played college basketball for the University of Southern California Trojans from 2008 to 2009. During his stint with the Trojans, DeRozan played 35 official games with the varsity team while averaging 13.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per outing.
DeRozan was part of the United States Men's Olympic Basketball Team that won the gold medal in the prestigious sporting event that was held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil last August.
