In the past few months, social networking company Twitter have been in the process of reshaping its services. Recently, Twitter announced that as part of this changes, the company is also revamping its top executive ranks.

On Wednesday, Twitter revealed that the company's chief operating officer Adam Bain is planning to leave the company. Bain is one of the main corporate drivers that helped to propel Twitter's advertising business.

In line with this changes, Twitter's chief financial officer Anthony Noto will hold the position vacated by Bain. According to Recode, Noto will continue to run Twitter's expansion in the live video streaming market, especially its deals with the NFL and Bloomberg. Moreover, Noto will also take over the management of Twitter's sales, revenue, business development, and global partnership.

Twitter said that it would start looking for a new chief financial officer because of the recent changes in its executive rank.

In a statement, Bain said, "The past six years have been incredible, and I'm inspired by what Twitter has become and what it will be in the future. Anthony and I have worked side by side since he joined Twitter in July 2014 and I have full faith in what he and the teams will accomplish in the future."

Bain celebrated his six-year anniversary at Twitter in August. He has helped build the company's advertising arm from the ground up. In fact, Bain was widely considered as a top candidate to be the company's chief executive before Jack Dorsey got the job.

Twitter has seen a gradual decline of the company's advertising business. The company is also faced with stiff competition from other companies in the digital advertising business.
