CBA: Shanxi Brave Dragons End Beijing Ducks Winning Streak, Jamaal Franklin Scores 61 Points

After being victorious in their last four straight games, the Beijing Ducks failed to extend their winning streak after losing to the Shanxi Brave Dragons in the sixth round of the Chinese Basketball Association.

The former NBA player also had 12 rebounds and 11 assists to end up the match with a remarkable triple-double game production and hand the Ducks their second lose of the season.

Chinese forward Junwei Ren also had an impressive double-double game performance of 12 points and 15 rebounds, while American veteran center Samuel Dalembert contributed with 11 markers and nine boards for the winners, who outrebounded the Ducks with a 49-37 advantage during the game.

American import Randolph Morris paced Beijing with 29 points and 12 rebounds, while Chinese point guard Zhang Qingpeng had 28 markers.

With the victory, the Xujin Zhe-headed ballclub now improves to a better 3-3 win-loss record. The Brave Dragons are currently tied with the other six different teams in the league between the 8th to 14th places in the latest team standing result.

According to NowGoal, Shanxi capped the first half of the match leading by a slim three-point lead 61-58. Beijing staged a 33-28 run during the third period and carried a two-point advantage 91-89 going in to the final 12 minutes of the ballgame.

In the final period, the Brave Dragons was able to regroup and had a 36-23 fourth quarter outburst to secure the victory. They will next play the third-ranked Liaoning Flying Tigers on Wednesday.
