The native of Compton, California had 37 points and dished out six assists along with four rebounds in their November 9 game against the Russell Westbrook-led Oklahoma City Thunder in which the Raptors won 112-102.

DeRozan replicated that spectacular performance in the Raptors' 113-111 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on November 11. The Raptor's most expensive player scored 34 points with three assists and two steals. He is the first NBA player to produce at least 30 points in eight of his first nine matches of a season since basketball legend Michael Jordan did so in the 1986-87 season.

According to ESPN, Toronto currently has a 7-2 win-loss record and is tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the second-top spot in the Eastern Conference team standing. DeRozan's Raptors are just one game behind the conference leader Cleveland Cavaliers with eight wins and one loss.

Meanwhile, the 2012 NBA Sixth Man of the Year winner steered the Mike D'Antoni-headed club to a 2-1 week while averaging 27.0 points along with league-leading 14.3 assist and 9.7 rebounds. Harden kicked off the week scoring 32 markers, dishing out 15 assists and grabbing six rebounds in their 114-106 triumph over the Washington Wizards on November 7.

Harden registered a triple-double game performance for the Rockets on November 9 producing 24 points, 15 assists, and 12 boards to beat the Western Conference powerhouse San Antonio Spurs 101-99.

Both players are on the NBA's top scorers list. DeRozan currently leads the league with an awesome 34.0 points per contest while Harden sits on the fifth spot with an average of 30.3 points per game.
