OnePlus has unveiled its latest handset called OnePlus 3T, predecessor of OnePlus 3 that was launched five months ago.

OnePlus 3T is an additional device to the company’s lineup, which is going to be sold as an expensive version compared with OnePlus 3. OnePlus said it upgraded the phone's file system algorithm to improve the launch speed of large apps and games.

The latest device of the Shenzhen-based tech firm is also similar to the OnePlus 3's dimensions and weight but with updated and high-end internal specs. The handset is available in soft gold and gunmetal gray option, Venture Beat reported.

“We developed the OnePlus 3T to bring significant improvements with new technology that is available today, so that our customers do not have to wait for the best possible user experience,” OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau said.

OnePlus 3T features Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35Ghz speed with Adreno 530 CPU. It has 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. The 3T still runs Android Marshmallow, but there are news claiming it would launch with Nougat on board.

The handset sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1920×1080 screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Its battery is 3400mAh, a 15 percent increase compared with the 3000mAh of OnePlus 3.

The rear camera is 16MP with f/2.0 aperture and supports 4K videos. OnePlus has added "Intelligent Pixel Technology," which reduces noise in low light, and an enhanced electronic image stabilization (EIS) with sapphire lens. As for the front camera, it has now 16MP with a ‘smile capture’ feature when taking a selfie as well as phase detection autofocus and support for capturing 1080p video at 30fps.

The OnePlus 3T will be available in the United States starting on Nov. 22 and in the United Kingdom on Nov. 28, according to Droid Life. The selling prices start at $439 for the 64GB variant and $479 for the 128GB version. For UK, prices are €439 and €479, respectively.
