Basing from the tournament result in the official website of the BWF, the current world No. 6 women's doubles tandem scored a hard-fought three-sets 13-21, 21-14, 21-17 triumph against the unseeded Chinese pair, who registered a big upset win against the event's third-top seeded Danish pair of Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Ry Juhl in their respective semifinals bout last Saturday.

The winning pair struggled to put on a strong start and dropped the opening set but managed to regroup and won the following game to force a decider. In the third set, the South Korean combo rode on with the momentum of the game to eventually claim the third and final set of the title match.

Chang and Lee took 90 minutes to wrap up the victory and registered their third win over the Chinese shuttlers in four official matches played. Huang Dongping and Li Yunhui currently rank No. 58 in the world.

The winning duo entered the prestigious USD 700,000 World Superseries tournament as the event's sixth seeded pair. They won their opening round match easily after their first-round opponent withdrew from the competition.

They prevailed over the pair of Hsu Ya Ching and Wu Ting Jun of Chinese Taipei in second round before eliminating the South Korean tandem Jung Kyung Eun and Shin Seung Chan in the quarterfinal stage to earn their ticket to the final four of the competition.

In the semifinals, Chang and Lee disposed the Chinese pair Luo Ying and Luo Yu, who were the event's fourth seeded duo and currently the fifth highest women's doubles pair in the world, to eventually win the title.
