NBA: The Toronto Raptors Rout Atlanta Hawks, Set Statistical Milestone with a Historic 44-Point Triumph

The raging Toronto Raptors recorded the team's largest margin of victory in the history of its franchise in last Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks with a 128-84 triumph at the Air Canada Centre.
According to Xinhua, the 44-point win surpassed the previous team record of 42 points, which the Raptors set against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 21, 2014. The Canadian-based NBA team also extended the string of their victories to six games, the longest active streak in the league so far.

The Raptors, who had a balance offensive attack during the Saturday's game, was able to match the long standing franchise-record that was set on March 13, 1998 by having eight players scoring in double-digits.
The Raptor's highest-paid player DeMar DeRozan poured in game-high 21 points, while All-Star guard Kyle Lowry and forward Patrick Patterson contributed with 17 points apiece. Toronto connected 13 of the team's 24 total attempts from the three-point area to register a remarkable 54.2 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc region.
"Like I always say, it's a make or miss league," Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said after the match. "Guys are making their shots, the ball's finding energy moving."
The Raptors tied their season-high with 28 assists during the game and shot a season-best 57.6 percent from the field. Toronto dished out 12 assists during the fourth quarter of the game and hit 18 of its 25 attempts for an impressive 72 percent shooting clip from the field.
Basing from the team standings in the official website of the NBA, the Raptors currently hold the second-top spot in the Eastern Conference with a 14-6 win-loss card. They are 8-3 at home and boast a 6-3 record in matches played on road. Toronto has won seven of its last 10 games played.
Raptors have blown out their opponents by an average margin of 29.8 points over the last four matches. They have beaten the Philadelphia 76ers by 27, Memphis Grizzlies by 15, and the Los Angeles Lakers by 33.
