The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly planning to trade Andrew Bogut and Devin Harris to the Milwaukee Bucks for their unwanted center Greg Monroe.

Monroe, 26, had been the subject of trade rumors since the end of last season despite posting his usual career numbers of 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 29.3 minutes per game in his first season in Milwaukee.

The former Georgetown standout was signed by the Bucks in the summer of 2015 to a three-year, $51 million deal and was expected to be the solution to the team's woes at the center position.

However, Monroe was eventually seen as an ill-fit to head coach Jason Kidd's starting lineup as he has a traditional center style of play while his co-starters were thriving on small ball, speed, athleticism, and outside shooting.

With that, Kidd decided to relegate Monroe to the bench at the start of the new season despite the former Piston earning a $17 million annual salary.

As the season progressed, Monroe's playing time also decreased, which sparked more speculations that his time in Milwaukee might really be coming to an end.

HNGN reported that a deal with the Mavericks could be imminent as Dallas is also looking to move injury-prone center Bogut to an interested trade partner.

The Mavs are said to be willing to include point guard Devin Harris in the package while the Bucks will also add a future second-round draft pick in the deal together with Monroe.

The Australian actually played his first seven seasons in the NBA with the Bucks before getting traded to the Golden State Warriors in March 2012. He stayed four seasons in Oakland, winning one championship, before he was traded again to the Mavs in July.

Bogut is currently sidelined by a minor knee injury and is expected to be out for two to six weeks. ESPN indicated that the injury has increased Bogut's chances of getting traded before the deadline since he will be returning in time for him to be showcased to interested teams.
