Chinese Basketball Association: Guangdong Southern Tigers Beat Guangsha Lions with Yi Jianlian’s Double-Double Game Production

The red-hot basketball squad of the Guangdong Southern Tigers handed Guangsha Lions its second loss of the season with a 106-100 victory during the 15th round of the Chinese Basketball Association on Wednesday night.
According to EuroBasket, Chinese basketball superstar Yi Jianlian registered an outstanding double-double game performance of team-highs 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Southern Tigers to its 12th triumph in the ongoing 22nd season of the league. The reigning CBA Domestic MVP connected five of his seven attempts from the three-point marker and went 7-8 from the foul line while playing for a solid 42 minutes inside the hard wood.

Guangdong's foreign reinforcements Donald Sloan finished the game with 26 markers, while Carlos Boozers also had another double-double game production of 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Former NBA player Courtney Fortson paced Guangsha with game-high 31 points while Chinese players Chih-Chieh Lin and Jinqiu Hu contributed with 18 points each.
With the victory, the Southern Tigers were able to extend their winning streaks to 10 straight games in a row while having a better 12-3 win-loss record, which is good enough to be in the third-best position in the 20-team Chinese league. They also broke off the Lion's 11 winning run and dropped the ChunJiang Li's to a 13-2 win-loss card.
Basing from the match result in the website of NowGoal, the Southern Tigers ended the first half of the game leading by a single point, 61-60. The winning team continued to contain the opposing side while putting on a 25-24 run during the third frame of the match to enter the final 12 minutes with a two-point advantage, 86-84.
In the fourth quarter, Guangdong protected their lead and held the Lions to just 16-point production while they managed to score 20 points to seal the victory.
The Southern Tigers will next play Zhejiang Golden Bulls on Sunday for the 16th round of the biggest professional basketball league in Asia.
