Xinjiang Flying Tigers Outlast Shanxi Brave Dragons in the 15th Round of the Chinese Basketball Association

Xinjiang Flying Tigers got the better of the Shanxi Brave Dragons with a 121-118 victory in the 15th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday evening.

According to the EuroBasket, former Indianapolis Greyhounds standout Darius Adams poured in a game-high 39 points to go along with eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals in leading the Flying Tigers to their 12th victory of the regular season. The CBA's sixth best leading scorer went 11 for 14 from the two-point range and made 5-of-6 from the stripe.

Ghanian-American forward Ben Bentil contributed with 24 points and Chinese player Gen Li finished the game with 17 markers for the victors, who are scheduled to play the team of Qingdao Eagles in the coming 16th round of the league on Sunday.

Former NBA player Jamaal Franklin paced the Brave Dragons with a triple-double game production of 29 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds, while Samuel Dalembert added with 22 markers. Shanxi, who is on a two-game winning skid, will be facing the 10th-ranked team of Jiangsu Dragons in the next round.

With the victory, the Flying Tigers now improved to a better 12-3 win-loss card having tied with the Guangdong Southern Tigers for the third and fourth spots in the league's team standing. Xinjiang is also currently on a three-game winning streak after suffering the team's third loss of the season in the hands of the Jimmer Fredette-led Shanghai Sharks in the last 12th round of the CBA.

Basing from the game result in the website of NowGoal, Xinjiang was trailing in the first 12 minutes of the match, with Shanxi staging an early 35-31 run during the opening period. The Flying Tigers were able to regroup and put on a 39-23 second quarter outburst to establish a 12-point advantage, 70-58 at the half.

The Flying Tigers continued to pound the opposing side with another 36-30 run to build a comfortable 18-point lead going in to the final period. Shanxi made 30-15 run in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to steal the game away from Xinjiang.
