Former Minnesota Timberwolves guard Lorenzo Brown has reportedly signed a contract to play for the professional ballclub of the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Brown most recently had a stint with the Eastern Conference Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) after getting two 10-day contracts on March 2016 before being signed for the rest of the season on the following month. However, the former North Carolina State Wolfpacks starter failed to play even a single game for the Tom Gores-owned team after the Pistons waived Brown in October.

Basing from the player's profile in the official website of the NBA, Brown is the league's 52nd overall pick in the last 2013 NBA Draft. He appeared in 26 official regular season games with the Philadelphia 76ers while averaging 2.5 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 rebounds in 8.6 minutes of playing time.

In the 2014-2015 season, the 26-year-old native of Roswell, Georgia, played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team that selected Brown on the draft night but later on waived him on Oct. 25, 2013, where he played for 29 matches and was in the starting lineup for seven games. With the Wolves, he posted averages of 4.2 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per contest.

Brown also played for the Phoenix Suns during the last season of the largest professional basketball league in the planet for eight official games after signing two 10-day contracts on March 2016 while averaging 2.5 points and 1.4 assists per outing.

According to Sportando, Brown will be replacing former University of Massachusetts Minutemen standout Cady Lalanne, who was sidelined due to an injury.

The Golden Bulls are currently on the 15th spot of the Chinese league team standings with a 4-10 win-loss card. The Ding Wei-headed ballclub is hoping for the best with Brown's entry with the team. The American player will be playing in China for the first time in his career.
