Carlos Tevez has downplayed speculations that he could move to the Chinese Super League (CSL) as the former Manchester United star hinted at the possibility of retiring early next year.
Tevez, 32, shed light on his plans ahead of Sunday's "Superclasico," where the former Argentinean international will represent his childhood club Boca Juniors.

"I've got too much of a muddle in my head to think if in February or March I'm going off to play in China," Tevez was quoted in an interview with a Spanish newspaper. "I don't just think about leaving, I could also retire. When the year is over I'll see what's best."
The speculations about Tevez's move to China began soon after CSL club Shanghai Shenua expressed interest in signing the former Argentinean midfielder. The interest was later confirmed by Shenhua's manager Gus Poyet.
The Argentinean soccer star returned to Boca Juniors last year from Juventus, helping his childhood club to win the league title soon after his return. He, however, could not help the famous South American club to qualify for the finals of the Copa Libertadores.
Speaking about Sunday's "Superclasico," Tevez admitted that he has always found Clasicos hard to play, citing his inability to cross the barrier from fan to player during the big game.
If Carlos Tevez does ink a deal with Shanghai Shenhua next season, then Sunday's "Superclasico" will be his last Clasico. His move to Shenhua club will also mark the arrival of another star in the CSL, which has seen the arrival of big stars over the past year.
