The league's leading team of Shanghai Sharks will be looking to further extend their winning streak when they face the seventh-ranked side of the Beijing Ducks in the upcoming 17th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
The Sharks are currently on a nine-game winning streak and will enter the regular season's next round with a fresh 109-98 victory over the team of Tianjin Gold Lions. The Ducks, on the other hand, recently loss their latest game assignment with the league's fifth-ranked team of the Liaoning Flying Leopards.

The Yao Ming-owned Chinese professional basketball club is the highly favored team to come out as the winner when the two squads play each other on Wednesday night. According to Asia-Basket, the Sharks own the CBA regular season's best 15-1 win-loss card, while the LuLei Min-headed Ducks have a 9-7 record.
Shanghai is expected to have its arsenal all set with the current league's scoring leader Jimmer Fredette to give the Sharks another explosive game following his remarkable performance in their match against Tianjin. Fredette, who is averaging with the CBA's best 39.3 points per game, produced 42 points and grabbed eight rebounds against the Gold Lions.
In the last three matches that the Sharks played, the former Sacramento Kings guard has registered impressive averages of 41.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 steals. Fredette is expected to carry his team once again and get some help from his fellow foreign reinforcement Frenchman forward Guerschon Yabusele, who had a double-double game production of 24 markers and 11 boards in their latest game, basing from the box score of EuroBasket.
Beijing will rely on the leadership of the former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury, who is the CBA's eighth-ranked top playmaker with an average of 6.2 assists per contest. The Ducks, who are on a two-game losing skid, will be looking to come back in to the winning column and put up a huge upset against the top-ranked team of the Shanghai Sharks.
