Hilary Duff has finally responded to all the criticism that she's been getting for the infamous photo of her kissing her 4-year-old son Luca on the lips.

The sweet snapshot, which the separated single mom shared on her Twitter on Monday after a family trip to Disneyland, quickly elicited mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.

One basher wrote, "@hilaryduff @Disneyland you're sick," while another user wrote, "@hilaryduff oh my... get a room!" "Hilary Duff was my Queen until I saw her Instagram of her kissing her son ON THE MOUTH," exclaimed another ex-fan of the actress. And yet another person declared, "This looks like a romantic kiss, not a peck on the lips for your kid."

Hilary eventually could no longer ignore the tweets and felt that she had to explain herself. Although she did not exactly defend the photo, she had pretty straightforward words for those who thought ill about her photo.

On a phone notepad, she wrote, "For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my four year old is 'inappropriate' go ahead and click a quick unfollow with your warped minds and judgment."

Soon after she issued her brief statement, her loyal fans went on to defend their idol. One fan said, "People are attacking Hilary Duff for kissing her son on the mouth lmao what is the world coming to." Another user said they thought the photo was "adorable" while another exclaimed, "WHAT?! How is that inappropriate?! It's YOUR child. People are so strange..."
