Guangdong Southern Tigers Rout Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey King, Extend Winning Streak in the Chinese Basketball Association

The blazing team of Guangdong Southern Tigers continued to extend their impressive winning ways as they demolished the 15th-ranked side of the Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey King with a 116-97 victory in the 17th round of the of the 22nd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday evening.

According to EuroBasket, the former Brooklyn Nets player Donald Sloan had another impressive offensive game after scoring team-high 30 points to lead the Southern Tigers to its 14th win of the regular season. The veteran American guard went 7-for-10 from the two-point range and connected four of his five attempts from the three-point marker while having a solid 32 minutes of playing time.
Former NBA players Carlos Boozer and Yi Jianlian both finished the game with double-double game productions. Boozer had 24 markers and 16 boards, while Yi added with 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Southern Tigers, who are now on a league's longest 12-game winning streak this season.
Foreign basketball reinforcement Jared Cunningham paced Jiangsu with 31 points, while Ikechukwu Diogu had 25 points and 17 rebounds for the losing team.
Guangdong, who will have the Jiangsu Dragons as their next game assignment on Friday, shot 38-59 from the field for a remarkable 64.4 percent field goal shooting clip, and the Feng Du-headed Chinese outfit dropped 10 of the team's 24 attempts from beyond the arc area that reflects a 41.6 percent shooting accuracy from the rainbow territory.
Basing from the game result in the website of NowGoal, the victors slightly struggled offensively during the first 24 minutes of the contest as Jiangsu ended the first half leading by four points, 58-54.
Guangdong ignited a 30-17 third quarter outburst to overtake the game momentum and entered the final 12 minutes of the ballgame leading 84-75.The Southern Tigers never look back as they continued to pound the Monkey Kings with another 32-22 run during the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
