Sir Mick Jagger names eighth child Deveraux Octavian Basil

Sir Mick Jagger welcomed his eighth child earlier this month and is said to have named the child Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.
Jaggers ex-partner Melanie Hamrick, who is 29 years old, gave birth to the couples bouncing baby boy on December 8th in New York City.
A close up photo of the singer's newborn son was uploaded on the Instagram account of Mick's older daughter, Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Jagger with the caption, "My beautiful baby brother, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.'

The 73-year-old singer reportedly named his youngest offspring after his late father, Basil Jagger, who was best known to the public as Joe.
Sir Mick, also happens to already be a great-grandfather and has several other children- Karis, Lizzy, Jade, James, Georgia, Gabriel and Lucas - from his previous relationships, the children's ages range from 17 years old to 46 years old

It was reported that Mick flew 3,500 miles from London to New York on a red-eye flight in order to be by Hamrick's side for the birth of their first child together. A source close to the singer revealed, "Mick wanted to be by her side as she gave birth to their son, he said he wouldn't miss it for the world."
Melanie, is set to receive $150,000 a year from the singer as maintenance to help raise their son. The $150,000 settlement will be continuously given until Deveraux turns 18 years old, this settlement will include his school fees. After secondary school, a trust fund set up under the child's name will cover his further education and expenses.
