Wizards Snap Clippers’ Winning Streak with Late Game Rally

The Los Angeles Clippers snapped its four-game winning streak following the loss to the Washington Wizards on Sunday night. The Wizards rallied late in the fourth quarter to snatch a 110-117 victory against the Clippers.

In a statement acquired by the Los Angeles Times, Clippers point guard Chris Paul said, "We have won four games in a row, but we still know that we can be a lot better. I always say that you can win games and still know you need to get better and you can lose sometime and know that you played well."

Paul had 13 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Blake Griffin added 26 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Center DeAndre Jordan had 13 points, 17 rebounds, and two assists. Coming off the bench, Marreese Speights had 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Austin Rivers scored 13 points.

Leading the Wizards offense was Bradley Beal who had 41 points, three rebounds, and three assists, according to NBA.com. John Wall had a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists, along with five rebounds. Markieff Morris had 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

The Wizards outplayed the Clippers in the fourth quarter, 23-32. The two teams played excellent basketball, tying the score seven times in the fourth quarter. The Wizards took the lead 3:31 left on the game clock and went on to hold its ground despite the relentless Clippers attack.

The Clippers are now 20-7, while the Wizards have an 11-14 record. The Clippers will be hosting the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 20, while the Wizards will visit the Indiana Packers on Dec. 19.
