The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were available for pre-order worldwide last weekend and in spite of its 4.7 and 5.5-inch diagonal measurements, the devices were sold out everywhere.

Over 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were pre-ordered in its first 24 hours, setting a new winning record against the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and Samsung Galaxy S5.

The iPhone 6 Plus was sold out almost immediately at the Apple Store and all major U.S. carriers, which listed the larger variant orders for delay by a couple of weeks.

Several eBay sellers say they'll have the new iPhone by Sept. 19, which is the date the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are scheduled to be out in stores.

For example, an eBay seller sells a 128 GB gold Verizon iPhone 6 Plus for US$1,650 with a guaranteed shipment from Sept. 16 to 19. Another seller offers the new 16 GB iPhone 6 for Verizon available for shipment on Sept. 19 priced at US$988.99.

Customers should be wary of scammers, though, and ask for proof before paying.

Four million presold iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in its first 24 hours is a sign the next-gen Apple handsets will be a success, according to Wall Street investors. They predict the upcoming Christmas season will sell more than 60 million units in one quarter.

The iPhone 6 will be released on Friday in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Puerto Rico, UK and Singapore.

Another set of 20 countries will have the iPhone 6 the next Friday, placing it in 30 markets before the September quarter ends.
