Argentine professional footballer Carlos Tevez has settled his move to the Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, making him the highest-paid football player in the world with an estimated reported earning of £615,000 (US$ 753,000) per week.
According to Daily Mail, the two-time Argentina's Player of the Year winner is the latest high profile international star to head for the riches of the highest tier of professional football in China, leaving his boyhood club Boca Juniors.

When Manchester City signed Tevez in 2009 for a weekly wage of £250,000 (US$ 306,000), there was quite a stir as he became the highest paid footballer in England at the time.
The native of Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, joined City in a controversial switch after a successful spell with neighbor Manchester United. Tevez raised the profile of the club, helping to attract more high valued footballers and leading to the team's success that has come since.
Tevez left City and transferred to Juventus in 2009 and would often talk about hating the monetary side of the sport and wanting to return to his home country to end his football career at his beloved Boca Juniors.
The 32-year-old former West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City striker will have the required medical procedure before meeting up with his teammates.
Tevez will work under former Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder Gustavo Poyet and will join the likes of Demba Ba and Obafemi Martins in the squad. The 48-year-old Uruguayan manager took over as Shenhua's newest bench boss last month.
Basing from the report of the Goal, Boca Juniors released a statement and wished all the best for the multi-titled striker, who came back to his boyhood side last year and claimed two more trophies.
"Good luck Carlitos," a statement read. "You will always be in our hearts."
Tevez netted 25 goals in 56 matches in his second stint at Boca, winning Argentina's Primera Division and the Copa Argentina.
Tevez's arrival is a boost to Shenhua, who finished fourth in the CSL in the 2016 season.
