LG recently unveiled the company's newest line of UHD TV for 2017 ahead of this year's Consumer Electronics Show. LG unveiled three new models, which are all based on the new Nano Cell LCD technology.

LG's three new UHD TV models are the SJ8000, SJ8500, and the SJ9500. As part of LG's effort to bring high-end color accuracy and consistency to its users, the company went as far as striking a partnership with Technicolor. LG and Technicolor worked to bring the special Technicolor Expert Mode and support for Advanced HDR to these three new UHD TVs, according to Engadget.

LG said that the company's new UHD TVs have a more sophisticated approach when it comes to high dynamic range imagery regardless of what picture format is used. This is all due to the Nano Cell technology that has an Active HDR feature, which is capable of inserting HDR data into each specific area of every single frame. The new LG UHD TVs also enhances the quality of standard images with the use of the HDR Effect.

On top of LG's new UHD TVs is the SJ9500 model, which supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10 formats. It is still a wonder how LG packed all these revolution technology into a TV frame that is just 0.27-inch thick at its slimmest point. According to The Verge, the other two models, the SJ8500 and the SJ8000, also feature the same type of features and technology as their high-end sibling, but they are not as thin or as light as the SJ9500.
