Donald Trump has finally responded to Mery Streep calling him out in her acceptance speech at the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards over the weekend.
The 67-year-old veteran actress quickly trended after boldly slamming the President-elect at the annual awards show. Although she did not mentioned his name, it was pretty clear whom she was referring to.

In a surprising change of atmosphere, the Golden Globes became political when Streep approached the stage to receive her coveted Cecile B. DeMille award and took the opportunity to slam Trump for appearing to mock a disabled journalist back in 2015.
After giving examples of real actors and actresses who were, in fact, "foreigners," Streep said: "This instinct to humiliate, when it's modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody's life, because it kinda gives permission for other people to do the same thing,"
"Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose," she added.
While many conservatives later criticized her for the unexpected political speech, the room filled with journalists applauded the celebrated actress.
Of course, we also expected the outspoken business mogul to react sooner, if not later.
Via his Twitter account, no less, Trump called Streep "one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood" and suggested that her argument was a result of her being biased to her presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

He then went on to say that he never mocked a disabled journalist but "simply showed him 'groveling'."
Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never "mocked" a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him....... — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
"groveling" when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!
