Samsung Launches Galaxy J3 in the US for $234.99

Tech giant Samsung announced that its latest device - the Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone - is now available for pre-orders in the United States for $234.99. The device can be purchased in the country starting Jan. 23 via Boost Mobile, Sprint, and Virgin Mobile.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display screen with 294 ppi and Asahi Dragontail Glass protection. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which is paired with 1.5GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 16GB internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to a massive 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the camera side, the Samsung Galaxy J3 sports a 5-megapixel rear facing camera with f/2.2, autofocus, and LED flash support. On the front is a 2-megapixel selfie snapper. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, coupled with Samsung's latest customized user interface laid on top. Fueling the device is a removable Li-Ion 2,600 mAh capacity battery.
Other features the Samsung Galaxy J3 offers include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB On-The-Go, Bluetooth v4.1, microUSB v2.0, Radio, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS/BDS, Dual SIM, GSM, HSPA, and LTE networks support. Sensors available on the device are accelerometer and proximity. The device measures a body dimension of 142.3 x 71 x 7.9 mm and weighs around 138 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone is expected to be available in three variants - White, Black, and Gold color options.
