Nick Cannon has Mariah Carey's back amid the controversy she recently got into following her performance at an NYE event.
At the annual Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, the "Vision of Love" singer experienced some technical glitch during her live performance. She later shared that she was allegedly "foiled" by Dick Clark Productions.

The mother-of-two even came out with a statement via Twitter.
"It's a shame that we were put into the hands of a production team with technical issues who chose to capitalize on circumstances beyond our control," Mariah Carey, who has twins with Nick Cannon, tweeted.
She added that "It's not practical for a singer to sing live and be able to hear themselves properly in the middle of Times Square." The "Butterfly" singer then wrote that "it turned into an opportunity to humiliate me and all those who were excited to ring in the new year with me."
Few weeks after the controversy, her ex-husband revealed his thoughts on the matter. As guest of "The Ellen DeGeneres" show on Monday, the "America's Got Talent" host defended the mother of his children, E! Online reported.
"You know me, I'm a conspiracy theorist. I think the government did that!" Nick Cannon joked about what happened to Mariah Carey. "They set her up! That was a distraction!"
He continued to explain that "Anyone who knows about performing and having inner-ears, things like that can go wrong on live television."
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got married on April 30, 2008. However, they called it quits on Dec. 2, 2000. Their twins are Moroccan and Monroe, now five years old.
