The Flying Leopards got the better of the 16th-ranked team of Fujian Sturgeons with a 126-116 victory on Sunday night, registering their second consecutive triumph over the Zuchang Gymnasium-homed basketball outfit this season.

According to EuroBasket, veteran American import Lester Hudson scored team-high 38 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists in leading the Joaquin Ruiz-headed team to another successful battle. The former Boston Celtics guard connected 10 of his 15 attempts from the three-point marker while going 3-for-6 from the two-point range in 42 minutes of playing time.

Husdon got an ample support from his team in both ends of the court as Chinese starting forward Guo Ailun nailing in 25 markers and seven-foot tall center Han Dejun contributing with 23 points and game-high 23 rebounds. Fellow foreign reinforcement Shavlik Randolph finished the match with 20 points and seven boards.

The victory was Liaoning's 21st win in 28 games played this season. The Flying Leopards are currently tied with the team of Guangsha Lions (21-7) for the fourth and fifth spot of the CBA's team standings.

On the other hand, the Sturgeons dropped to a disappointing 8-20 win-loss record, making their chances of reaching the playoffs dimmer. American point guard Dwight Buycks paced Fujian with game-high 41 points, while local player Yi-Chao Yichao added with 25 markers.

According to Asia-Basket, the Flying Leopards will be facing the league's defending champions Sichuan Blue Whales in the next round on Friday.

The Blue Whales are currently tied with the Beijing Ducks for the eighth and ninth place in the team standings. Sichuan had won three of its last five games played.

The Flying Leopards own a 1-0 matchup edge over the Blue Whales as they prevailed over the Hamed Haddadi-led team in the 10th round with a 99-91 win this season.
