Chinese Basketball Association: Guangdong Southern Tigers Trounce Bayi Rockets with Carlos Boozer’s Impressive Game Performance

The third-ranked ballclub of the Guangdong Southern Tigers lived up to the expectations of many of the sport's enthusiasts as they demolished the low-ranking team of the Bayi Rockets with a dominating 107-70 victory in the 29th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday evening.

The Southern Tigers, who entered the match with a fresh 125-96 routing of the Qingdao Eagles in the previous round on Monday night, was led by the former Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer, who finished the game with game-high 23 points to go along with nine rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot.
According to EuroBasket, the two-time NBA All-Star went on a 10-12 shooting from the field and made three of his five attempts from the foul line. Boozer came off the bench and played for just 24 minutes.CBA's four-time Domestic MVP Yi Jianlian contributed with 17 markers while fellow Chinese players Zhao Rui and Gao Shang chipped in with 16 points apiece for the Southern Tigers.
Chinese young center Fu Hao paced Bayi with team-high 22 points and 10 rebounds while teammate Hang Liu added with 18 markers. With the victory, the Southern Tigers remain to hold the third-top spot in the CBA's team standings with 23-6 record. Guangdong had won three of its last five games played and on a two-game winning streak.
With nine more matches left in their regular season's game schedule, the Feng Du-headed squad can still end up in a higher ranking spot in the race to the final eight. The Southern Tigers were just a half-game behind No. 2 Xinjiang Flying Tigers, who were set to play Jilin Northeast Tigers in the other half of the 29th round.
Basing from the match result in NowGoal, the winners flaunted their dominance over the opposing team as they outscored Bayi in all of the four quarters of the ballgame (25-13, 25-20, 29-20, 28-17) to easily claim the victory.
The Southern Tigers will be facing the seventh-ranked Shandong Golden Stars in the next round on Sunday.
