After missing one game due to an apparent injury, Jimmer Fredette is back in action as Shanghai Sharks extended their dominance in the Chinese Basketball Association by beating the Fujian Sturgeons on Friday evening.
The former BYU Cougars star player had an impressive 26 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Fredette helped the Sharks score an imposing 119-93 triumph over the Sturgeons after skipping their match against Shanxi last Sunday due to an injury he sustained in their 100-96 win over Liaoning.

According to EuroBasket, Frenchman power forward Guerschon Yabusele had another exceptional double-double game production of game-highs 33 points, and 16 rebounds along with three steals and one blocked shot for the Sharks.
Yabusele, who stepped up his game during the absence of the team's and the league's leading scorer, went on a 13-17 shooting from the two-point area and made 7-8 from the foul line while playing for 37 minutes in the hard wood.
According to Asia-Basket, the victory was the Sharks' 25th win in 29 matches played this season, strengthening the Yao Ming-owned basketball club's hold on the top of the team standings. Shanghai, which is currently on a four-game winning streak, is one full game ahead of the second-ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (24-5).
With nine games remaining to be played, the Sharks seem determined to finish the regular season on top of the table. The Sharks would face the Sichuan Blue Whales on Sunday.
The CBA defending champions are currently struggling to be in the league's final eight. The Hamed Haddadi-led Blue Whales are now tied with the Jiangsu Dragons for the ninth and tenth spot of the 20-team Chinese professional basketball league.
Shanghai enjoys a 1-0 upper hand over Sichuan this season. The Sharks defeated the Blue Whales in the 11th round with a 102-90 win in November.
