Grant Jerrett’s Double-Double Powers Beijing Ducks to Demolish Jiangsu Dragons

(Photo : Getty Images) Grant Jerrett scored a team-high 25 points and pulled down 13 big rebounds to give the Ducks their second consecutive win since January 20.
Former NBA power forward Grant Jerrett had an impressive double-double performance to power the Beijing Duck to crush Jiangsu Dragons with a 108-86 victory in the 30th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Sunday evening.
According to EuroBasket, the 23-year-old American player scored a team-high 25 points and pulled down 13 big rebounds to give the Ducks their second consecutive win since January 20. Jerrett, who did not commit any turnovers while playing for 36 minutes, went on a 5-9 shooting from the two-point range, 4-8 from beyond the arc area and a perfect 3-3 from the foul line.

Two-time NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury had 20 points and six assists. Chinese guards Fang Shou and Wang Xiaohui contributed a combined 25 points. Reserve point guard Zhang Qingpeng added 14 markers while big man Zhu Yanxi had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds for Beijing.
The Ducks had a higher shooting percentage as they moved the ball better with 18 assists compared to the opposing side's seven. The winning team displayed a strong defense as they forced the Dragons to commit 16 turnovers while Beijing registered 12 steals and nine blocked shots during the 48 minutes of the contest.
MarShon Brooks paced Jiangsu with 35 points while teammate Will McDonald added 22 markers and 13 boards.
The Ducks established an early 16-point lead in the opening period after staging a 34-18 run and maintained the gap until the first half ended, 58-42.
In the third quarter, the Dragons put up a 26-21 charge to cut down the deficit to 11, but the winning team stormed Jiangsu with another 29-18 run in the final twelve minutes of the game to walk away with the win.
The Ducks will face Guangzhou Long-Lions while the Dragons will play Beikong Fly Dragons on Tuesday.
