Hamed Haddadi’s Monster Game Performance Powers Sichuan Blues Whales in Beating Fujian Sturgeons in the Chinese Basketball Association Round 31

(Photo : Getty Images) Hamed Haddadi put on another exceptional double-double game performance of 35 points and 20 rebounds in leading the Blue Whales to another victory in the CBA.
Hamed Haddadi continued to lift the Sichuan Blue Whales in keeping the team's hope in making it in to the playoffs this season and further extend their reign as the league's defending champions.
The veteran Iranian big man put on another exceptional double-double game performance of 35 points and 20 rebounds in leading the Blue Whales to a 115-111 win over the 16th-ranked Fujian Sturgeons in the 31st round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA)on Tuesday night.

According to EuroBasket, Haddadi was just an assist away in finishing the game in a spectacular triple-double having nine assists. The 2015-16 CBA Finals MVP also posted two steals and two blocked shots while turning the ball over just once in 36 minutes of playing time.
Haddadi got his much needed support from the 18-year-old Chinese guard Huang Rongqi, who contributed with a remarkable 26 points and 11 boards coming off the bench. Sichuan had three more local players who managed to finish the game in double figures with point guard Liu Wei scoring 16 points, center Zhang ChunJun producing 11 markers and forward Chen Chen adding with 10 points.
The Blue Whales outscored the opposing team from the two-point range after putting in 37 of the Sichuan's 66 total shots from the field while the Sturgeons only went 20-49 from the same range.
Sichuan had a field day at the stripe, going 23 for 35 from the free throw line after forcing Fujian players to commit a team-combined 36 personal fouls during the game.
According to Asia-Basket, the victory was the Blue Whales' 17th in 31 matches played this season. They currently sit at the ninth place of the team standings but still have the chance of breaking it to the league's final eight with seven games remaining still to be played in the regular season.
The Blue Whales were just one win behind current eighth-ranked Beijing Ducks (18-13) and two victories at the back of the seventh-ranked Shandong Golden Stars (19-12). Sichuan will be playing Shanxi Brave Dragons in the next round on February 5.
